The 21 Modern Car Myths – Or why putting stickers on your car, won’t make it go faster

Everyone of us had probably listened and been included in a conversation starting with “My friends cousin, has this uncle who’s 72′ Mustang got additional 35HP from an air filter, and an opened exaust”, didn’t we all? Well we are trying to make a list, of popular myths, fishing stories and all that is funny in the car world. So be free to post, and we will update the list with new stuff as we can. When drunk turtles make more sense:

1. Putting a sports air filter will get you 15HP
2. Water works just as well as antifreeze
3. Lost your key? It’s easy to hot-wire your car
4. Putting a CD on your rear view mirror will deflect speed detector lasers

12. Getting a part for a japanese car is nerve wrecking, and it costs lots of money
13. Every italian car has problems with electronics
14. Putting racing stripes will make your car go faster
15. Adding each one racing sticker, will ultimately add up and make our car go even faster
16. Pouring hot water over your frozen locks will help you get in your car
17. Adding a big wing on a FWD car will improve handling in corners
18. You need a big wing in you’re 75HP compact car
19. More electrodes on your spark plugs will increase performance
20. Talking on a cell phone in a gas station can make you blow up in smoke
21. Adding aceton to the fuel mix will make it more efficient
