Lexus revealed LF-A Race Car with the 4.8-liter V10 engine producing 500 bhp

Lexus is getting ready for the 24 hours of Nürburgring as we speak! After showing you the Lexus LS460 on 360 Forged Brushed Spec Multi earlier this year (the only Lexus news we had here really) we can gladly inform you that Lexus is building a really fast race car, which will enter the 24 hours of Nürburgring.

The the 200mph+ (321km/h) LF-A sportscars are powered by a front-mid mounted V10 engine producing 500HP and will be driven by numerous drivers for the Japanese Gazoo Racing Team. They are a Toyota-owned, e-commence website that has its own racing team, that aims to “create a new relationship between automobiles and people in the new IT era”. In addition to professional racing drivers, test drivers, dealers, there will also be a pilot featured by the name of “Morizo” who is no other, than the next Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda, the grandson of Toyota’s founder.

This racing that Lexus will perform in the “Green Hell” that is sometimes reffered to the Nürburgring by some drivers, will get a lot of information that Lexus will implement in the long overdue race car. We can only hope, that some of the racing philosophy will get into the production car, and that finally Lexus will produce the car that is long expected in the car manufacturer world.
