My Car Portal in it’s first half a year of existence
We wish to inform all of our readers, that our website just reached it’s first half a year mark! What started last winter, or in February to be more exact, is here today! It was a bumpy road since the start, with lots of errors, problems and work involved … but with a lot of quality photographs, news items, columns, reader opinions, quality comments and all the things that make us happy to be here with you, our readers. With more talented photographers contacting us for releasing their work here, we are hoping that we will bring you even more staggering photographs and articles soon. We have a few of other authors that are starting to contribute to our website as we speak. Don’t be shy to contact us if you want to work on our website! We accept anyone who is a true petrolhead and has decent writing abilities.
Our Aim
From the start our aim was to bring interesting news about the automobile industry, tuning industry and to include lots of good photography which would make our readers happy. We aren’t aiming at getting you all the news all the time, but more of the sportier types of cars and news about them. There is a new Porsche out? You bet your ass we are going to get it here! There is an awesome photoshoot of a new Chevrolet Corvette? We are resizing and uploading the photographs as we speak. New tuning options for the new BMW? Latest Formula 1 news? New and cool automotive video is out? It will probably all be here, for our readers enjoyment. So be sure to stay with our website for another period in which you will find even more interesting stuff being posted. And don’t forget, we don’t drive fast, we just fly low.
Some Statistical Data
Now to the statistics, which some of us enjoy, some not, but nevertheless it’s here. We are currently announced, our links sent or tweeted around between hundreds of people daily. Currently we have over 300 followers on out Twitter.com profile. Our Facebook Group has reached 50 plus users, which we aim to even broaden in the upcoming time. Be sure to follow us on Twitter.com and visit our Facebook Group because you can find fresh new stuff there, almost instantly after it has been posted. Another way to follow our updates, is VIA the Feed option on our website. Join 50 plus daily readers, that access our website through the Feedburner.com profile and get all the news, all the time right at your computer as soon as it’s posted.
The Metrics Don’t Lie
We get about 800 unique visits daily. Some of you may find this to be a low number, but if you look at it from a standpoint of a website which is online only six months, it’s a mark that really points out in what direction we are heading. We are pleased that these 800 plus visitors usually take their time around the website. This means that they view more than one page here, so they make up to 4500 page views daily. What this comes in one month? Well, you do the math … we will just say how pleased we are, that this website is recognized and loved by many people.
Some Final Wisdom
And in the end, we wish to thank everyone who was involved here from the beginning. Our loyal photographers like William Stern and Webb Bland, our great technical help with the hosting Antonio Sardi, your’s truly the authors (we won’t name them, you probably know all of them), and finally, the most important ones – our readers. Well, without them we wouldn’t have a purpose, so we thank all of you who are here with us and here with us to stay. Hopefully we can have an even more impressive and amazing future.
