The 2011 BMW X5 LCI M-Sport Official Information and Wallpapers

Well some of you may ask what LCI is? For the ones that aren’t familliar with BMW’s new designations for different projects, it stands for Life Cycle Impulse which, in laimans terms means facelift. The new facelifted BMW X5 will be presented to the general public at the Geneva Motor Show in March for the European buyers, then at the New York Auto Show in April for the US targeted market. The new changes are the redesigned front bumper with new foglamp placement and matte silver bottom bumper guard, giving the car particularly powerful appearance. There have been changes in the rear, where the car features a new rear bumper. The new colors featured here are the Deep Sea Blue, Platinum Grey, and Sparkling Bronze.

The technological advances feature the new 8-Speed Automatic Transmission (with steptronic control). Brake Energy Regeneration system (KERS – seen first in the Formula 1 racing) special deep-cycle Glass Mat battery with programmed alternator disengagement, most of the time, the vehicle’s battery is only charged while the vehicle is coasting or braking. Over time, the Brake Energy Regeneration system can save 1-2% on fuel consumption. Getting most of the upgrades and advances in technology from racing models, is really proving that BMW is always on the top of things, when implementing new technologies in their road cars.

Options that are included in the new facelifted model include the 19-inch M light alloy rims in V-spoke design, bringing the cars agressiveness even more. The larger 20-inch M light alloy rims are also avaliable as an option, which in our opinion will be a choice for many buyers of this vehicle. The large sport exhaust coming from the V8 version is now available even in the V6 version, bringing the sportier style even to the entry models. Additionally to the M Aerodynamics Package and the M entry strips, there are several options avaliable, bringing the car to the premium buyers even closer. The accented roof lines and the window lines are one of them, getting the cars unmistakable visual appearance.

We have a set of high resolution wallpapers, that have been officially released from BMW today. The wallpapers are in 1920×1200 resolution, so it will suit almost all of the monitor sizes that you may have.
