Black BMW 135i photoshoot by Leon Tang

This little BMW is one of my favorite cars. Small, nimble, powerful and fast. The black suits it pretty well in every way. The perfect car to take on those winding mountain roads we have here in Croatia. Yeah, if you didn’t know, most of the latest BMW photoshoots (BMW 335iS, BMW 5series, BMW X5m and X6M) were taken here in our country, with some spectacular sights and photos that came out from that.

Today we have something different, the BMW 135i shoot by Leon Tang is from the states. With many different urban surroundings that fit this car extremely well. We must say that the owner surely made some cool modifications to the car, staying all the time in the stylish and subtle appearance here.

Some of you may remember that we featured Leon’s work on numerous occasions here. Some of his work feature the Platinum Gray, Gray and Blue Nissan GTR’s here, as well as the amazingly well modded BMW M3 E92 Coupe which we saw last fall. Be sure to check those as well, they are truly amazing shoots and we can recommend them to anyone that’s into automotive photography. But this is not the main theme of this article, so let’s get back to the Black BMW 135i we are presenting here.

The smallest BMW had it’s doubts when it came out a couple of years ago, like almost all of the models in the recent time. Some didn’t like them, some had to wait a year or two, to get an affection to the new models, but everyone agreed that they provoked a reaction from anyone. Be it good or bad, they made sure that everyone had something to say about them. I was one of the people that liked the 1series from the start.

The concept of a small RWD car, with lots of power really grew into me then. When they released the coupe version, it became even better. So I am happy to present you the photoshoot we are talking about here, because it’s in my favorite color, with the most powerful engine available. What more can you ask for?

Nice looking car, heard that this one can be faster than a stock BMW M3 on the track??

  • WRX

Not that amazing really, but the photos and the car look nice in every way.

The car itself is pretty good, I like it very much. But the photographs don’t look that good, but they are alright anyway.

It can be faster than a stock M3 on the track. But that’s really just the case of good tuning, to an already good car. Probably that’s why they don’t wanna make the M1 and delay it all the time. It would prove to be too much competition for the M3 in the strets and on the track, which would result in a cheaper car beating the expensive one, what BMW won’t have probably. :)

That’s good news, it’s a smaller car, should handle the corners better, with the powerful engine in the bay making it a real sports car to drive :)

The photos aren’t that good as the last ones from Leon Tang were, but I like this car too. Some urban scenery, like you did with the Platinum Gray GTR should do the trick for this one too :P

Yeah we can be sure that BMW won’t let that happen, but we’ll have to see what will be the result of this later when the M1 comes out … or if it doesn’t, because we don’t know it for sure what will the ultimate BMW 1series car will be called :)
