BMW Reveals M135i Sporting 320HP
BMW has dropped another bomb shell on us! They have revealed their updated BMW 1series lineup (more about that later), but more so they have revealed their highly anticipated BMW M135i sporting 320 horsepower! Why is this so important to us? Well, number of reasons!
Let’s go through it all. First ever BMW M Performance automobile to feature a petrol engine, engine in it is the N55 3-litre, straight six-cylinder engine delivering 235 kW/320hp to the rear wheels with 450Nm available between 1,300 and 4,500RPM. This vehicle sprints from 0-100kph in 5.1 seconds (4.9 with automatic), while an electronic limited top speed of 250km/h can be achieved.
Average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle is 8.0 litres (7.5 litres)/100 km, and the CO2 emissions level is 188 grams (175 grams) per kilometre. Performance and consumption numbers like this are achieved thanks to a TwinScroll turbocharger, direct High Precision Injection with central multi-hole injectors, VALVETRONIC variable valve control and Double VANOS variable camshaft timing.
It offers M-characteristic suspension components and aerodynamically optimised body features; Highest level of performance and the most outstanding efficiency within the competitive environment. Also offers typical M-style coherence between drive, suspension technology and aerodynamic balance as well as model-specific interior design for unmistakeable driving pleasure in a compact model. BMW M135i also available as a five-door version from the launch.
We got a few different infos about this car coming to the United States. Two of the most popular BMW motoring websites and forums, Bimmerpost and BMWBlog are saying “it won’t” and “it will”, respectively. We are not sure who to believe yet, but we’ll keep you updated with the information when we receive and when it is officially negated or confirmed, what ever comes first.
