BMW Unveils the Zagato Coupe
I’ve have always admired BMW’s one off rides. It always feels drawn out between each model and they all possess their own unique signature to the BMW family. I am pretty sure Porsche comes out with a “one-off” model every month (seriously, take a look at how many they’ve done). While the 1M (the most recent of BMW one off models) is still fresh, BMW has unveiled another one off model that makes the 1M as common as a Toyota Camry.
Meet the BMW Zagato Coupe. A modern marvel on its own, the Zagato is a sleek, 2 door coupe loosely based on the Z4. Teaming up Milanese coachbuilder Zagato, BMW designers bring together the essence of two companies unique sense of design to forge this beautiful, one off coupe.
Radiant in its deep red exterior, the Zagato is the culmination of hundreds of hours of skilled hand-craftsmanship. Why so many hours? Zagato concept models were built within millimeters of their actual production spec. Smooth but aggressive lines whip the Zagato until a low profile coupe that is sure to captivate anyone’s eye.
Some of the official released below but I do have to direct your attention to the video at the end of this post. This one will get you quick. The vehicle’s designers get you inside their heads as they design the Zagato from a simple line drawing to the production model that rolls off the BMW line.
