When it comes to luxury automotives, I think sedans, coupes and convertibles. But there is the awkward cousin we always forget about, wagons and hatchbacks. They do exist and they aren’t in shortage by any means, in fact you will find them fluttered across just about any country outside of the US.
Following up last week’s article on Prior Design’s widebody Mercedes SL (which can be seen here), we have another great projects from the guys at PD. When you take engineering precision and mix it with a BMW 5-series wagon (touring model), you get a whole new vehicle.
Using the same high quality Dura-Flex FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), the kit comes complete with a front & rear bumper and side skirt replacements. The front bumper and side skirts are also available for the E60 sedan chassis.
We know that anyone can slap some fresh aerodynamics on their ride but projects come alive when you go that extra mile. That is exactly what this owner did.
Besides the full PD kit, the car was face lifted with a frozen red finish complimented by a new set of shoes with a bronze/gold face and polished lip. If you know me at all, wagons are not usually my style but I have to admit…this is one badass ride. We are tipping our hat to Prior Design and the owner of the project car, great outcome.
