Shelby GT350 Detail by AOWHEELS
Caution, legends being worked on over here! AOWHEELS got their chance to fully detail and take care of a Shelby GT350 last week, a car with the signature of the late Carol Shelby thus a machine that needs even more care and special attention than usual.
As Carol Shelby and his team put great deals of pride in their work, so does Brian Guy from AOWHEELS too! It took him five days to complete the detailing job on these muscle cars. With a full paint correction done on both, a full interior detauil job, full motor detail and a complete protection part done to the tiniest detail, this certainly wasn’t an easy job, but Brian made sure it was a worthy one.
Funny thing with these cars (if we can push it that far) is that the owner was taking delivery of his red GT350 on the same day as Carol Shelby passed away. He was looking to get it signed by the man himself, just like the white one, which was purchased two months prior to picking up the white GT350 which was actually signed by Shelby himself. What a timeframe, what a set of events to happen! This cars are brand new and they already have a history behind them.
Back to the detail job! As said, it took full five days to finish the work on these two and AOWHEELS made sure to complete an immaculate detailing job. As a testament to the build process by the Shelby team, this car had wet sanding trails throughout, but that was taken care of in the detail.
Most work was done on the white one, as it is the older and a car more driven than the red GT350 which was delivered to the owner not long ago. Red one had only some issues on the rear bumper, but the rest was a straightforward detailing and paint correction job. But the white one! Oh yeah, this was one tough nut to crack! Even for a guy like Brian who is acustomuted in dealing with exotics and rare sports cars through his work.
To further accentuate the level of detail needed for this detailing job (I know, I’m funny sometimes) it took him six hours to get these cars washed. They had a dealer do a sealant treatment on both cars with which neither the owner or Brian were satisfied with. So before they could even begin with the paint correction process, this whole sealant mess needed to be covered. To be seriously honest, I never thought how much detail was involved in detailing and paint correction projects before being introduced to AOWHEELS.
For sure these cars are a rare jewl in today’s motoring world of pie charts, marketing, sales and end year figures. So is Brian’s work. He never ceases to impress me and by all means dragging your ass across the United States for a detailing job by this guy is a must if you drive an exotic needing of special attention. Rare car owners shouldn’t even think about going somewhere else at all. Let the images speak for his work, even though these probably don’t represent the real effect his detailing job has on the paint of the cars he does.
