Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake

Woah! This was fast! Mercedes-Benz has released their AMG powered Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 Shooting Brake and it’s a car we’d love to own. Even though we are a day or two behind with this, it was paramount on revealing it to our readers since it’s such an interesting car to begin with.

As an exciting alternative aimed at the more design-oriented crowd, the CLS Shooting Brake has all the AMG goodies one could want. An AMG 5.5 litre V8 biturbo engines with output levels starting at 386kw (525hp) all the way up to 410kw (557hp) are or will be available. Yes, this means the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake will come in more than one version.

Goodies and technology bits and pieces like direct petrol injection with spray guided combustion, piezo injectors, biturbocharging setup, air/water intercooling, generator management and ECO start/stop function all ensure a powerful, smooth and enjoyable ride.

Vehicle comes equipped with a 7-speed sports transmissio and the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension, offering great performance on the curves as well. It also comes with a spacious interior, luxury upholstery, leather seats, technological gizmos in abundance and judging from the images, a well looking interior with a ton of light inside.

As mentioned earlier, the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake comes in two forms, the usual “stock” one with 386kw (525hp) and the “Edition 1″ which boasts 410kw (557hp) which is an increase of 24kw (32hp) over the stock model, adding additional 100nm of torque and some pretty exclusive appointment features according to Mercedes-Benz. Which one will be the best option we really have no clue. To us, the only thing we need to consider is more poweeeeer!

As with cars like these, the level of sportiness, comfort and space in the interior is what some have always wanted. A luxury people carrier, where you can drop your two kids, pack your bags and head to the seaside for your vacation with your wife. It can excel on the motorways or it can be a pretty fun vehicle to drive on those curvy back roads. A concept that’s been around for quite some time, but with cars like the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake it’s slowly being perfected.

Market launch of both the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake and Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake “Edition 1″ will come this October. Pricing hasn’t been announced for any markets yet, but we’ll try to keep you informed about it. Media gallery awaits, as usual, right below!
