Industry: Porsche Increases Sales In June

Porsche AG increased its sales by 16% in July 2012 when compared to the same month of the previous year. Porsche has delivered 12,391 new cars to customers worldwide. They sold a total of 81,562 vehicles (+14 %) in the first seven months of 2012.
“Porsche continued on its successful sales course in July with a strong gain in deliveries. We are confident that we will attain solid global growth figures over the rest of this year as well, despite economic uncertainty in Europe,” says Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG.
In July 2012, Porsche recorded gains in all sales regions compared to the same month last year. In Europe, the sports car manufacturer attained 25 per cent growth compared to July 2011, selling 4,594 vehicles. Worldwide sales of the Boxster were especially successful with 1,235 units sold, representing a 58 per cent increase over last year.
Porsche 911 was also a particularly popular model, it saw sales of 2,079 units of the classic sports car which were delivered to customers. These sales represent a 25 per cent increase for that particular model.
