Good morning everyone! Monday is always the start of the week and we definitely want to ease the transition into the work week for our readers with something really cool. On this Monday we are publishing a story about a gorgeous Porsche 930 Turbo on some HRE Wheels, all done by our friends and supporters from Wheels Boutique.
The Porsche 930 was a sports car built by Porsche between 1975 and 1989, known to the public as the 911 Turbo. It was the maker’s top-of-the-range 911 model for its entire production duration and at the time of its introduction the fastest production car available in Germany. And for everyone that can be considered a Porsche fan, this timeless design is all we dream about. It was powered by a single turbocharged and air-cooled flat-six engine, displacing either 3.0 (1975-1977) and 3.3 liters (1978-1989) allowing this car to run from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just around 5 seconds depending on year of production and engine installed.
This has not diminished in the years to come and this perfect showcase of classic and performance motoring has not lost a step along the way. There is one thing that needed some refreshing on the exterior and it were the wheels. With over 30 years of driving combined with wear & tear, there was definitely the issue of getting the wheels back to the state this car needs them. Owner chose not to repair the original wheels, but talked with Wheels Boutique about some modern technology combined with vintage looks.
If you were guessing it already, a set of HRE Vintage Series 501 wheels was installed. It’s a tried and tested design, all laid out with modern production technology. It means a forged design, lightweight and custom fitment for this oldschool racer. Done in 18×8.5 in the front and 18×11 at the rear, this 930 now sites tight and right! All thanks to Wheels Boutique that is. Check ‘em out!
