Want to be honest here. I never thought a Ford Focus ST could look this crazy and this good until I got these images. A Focus ST with a list of additions so long it will take us a lot of time to go over so if you wanna jump right to the photos, I won’t blame you. But if you are a car nut as we are, please stick with the article and let’s go through it all then. You won’t be disappointed at all.
For those that visit our website frequently you probably already know about William Stern and his photography skills. Usually he is the guy who is responsible for creating amazing images of world’s best supercars and sports cars. Same thing happened with this one but with a subtle difference that this car belongs to him. This pretty much meant that all the details, additions and parts installed are portrayed in the best way possible through a set of damn amazing photos. This also means everyone who participated in this build will get a chance to shine on thousands of websites all across the world that have something to do with cars. Talk about sponsorship opportunities for companies. Shall we begin?
We’ve been following this project from the start and it’s main theme were definitely the Tangerine Scream paint finish and ADV.1 ADV15 MV1 wheels. We say main theme, as this thing is simply engulfed in orange with every bit of exterior in the same tone. And it works. It works well. Honestly, the color selection choice was a bit odd at first, but after seeing the first images with the wheels on and first details being done, my mind changed pretty fast. You gotta understand that William Stern is not your average automotive photographer. He is not. And we would be very dissappointed if his ride looked anything in the ordinary. That photography gene doesn’t strike ordinary people, so you need to take into account that this build is as crazy as his beard, but in a good way. You just wanna wiggle it, make tiny braided lines out of it and … fuck. Sorry about that.
Let me get to performance mods. It all started with COBB. That one company I know nothing about besides they tune car. They make awesome tuning parts. And that they did William’s Ford Focus ST. If I did my research (which I never do when writing articles like these) I would know they are one of the best in the field of getting more power and performance from cars. So no wonder William went with them. First, there is a stage 3 package installed on this Focus ST and that consists of: an intake system, front mounted intercooler, cat-back exhaust, full set of downpipes and V2 Accessport. From what I’ve heard, that thing let’s you manage your ECU right from the car and that sounds sweet as ever!
Now, COBB is also responsible for extras installed on this car. We begin the lineup with a shift knob, front and rear sway bars, rear motor mount and short shift plate. You might call them little details and going over board, but in a complete build like this you definitely need them.
Handling part and stance was dealt with thanks to BC Racing North America who provided a set of BR Type Coilovers. Fully adjustable and this means both height and rebound, this BR model is perfect for street driving and occasional road course duty. Not only does the car look great lowered like this, handling is much improved so Will can take this sports car to the limits on winding roads anywhere he goes.
Tangerine Scream is the main theme, but the different small aftermarket parts are what makes this so cool. For example, William opted for a 17% window tint all around. Besides the cool factor, lowering the temperature in the hot Florida weather was another example how some mods really help with real world problems as well. Then to have better visibility at night HID 6k headlights were added. You also get some Tanner Foust sides and front lip kit, all thanks to Vivid Racing.
Small goodies like black roof and mirros wrap by The Sign Savers and Hood QuickLift Sstem by RedLine Tuning also add to the cool factor. We cannot forget a custom painted engine cover, a thing that we definitely love in builds like this, all done by MC Customs Miami. The list of companies that participated is definitely awesome! But wait, we are not done yet!
ADV.1 Wheels are the ones who created a custom set of wheels for their resident photographer. These ADV15 MV1 wheels are sized 18×8.5 all around and have a custom paint finish matching the Tangerine Scream outer appearance completely. Wheels also showcase a set of custom made titanium lug nuts, all bearing The Beard logo. This was done thanks to Tikore Industries who are your choice for titanium hardware as we’ve seen a lot of companies (our supporters among them) and car owners worldwide using them to lower unsprung weight on their cars. Wheels are wrapped in Yokohama S. Drive tires sized 235/40/18 in the front and rear.
Complete project was finished by Dynamic Turbo in Miami which handled the installation and dyno tune. We still need to find out how much horsepower does this Ford Focus ST now have. But in overall this is one of the sickest and most complete builds we’ve seen so far. Enjoy your new wallpapers, this Tangerine Scream Ford Focus ST is brought to you by William Stern. All we can say is nice job. Everyone involved did their part perfectly. Enjoy!
