The Formula 1 has been sounding rather dull lately. The (insert your kitchen appliance) sounds far better than what we’ve seen for the past few Formula 1 seasons and many have compared the cars’ sounds to those of a vacuum. Now, with the advent of the Ferrari LaFerrari (yeah, still kinda odd fully regarding that name) the rather scary versions have been released. Ferrari FXX-K is the track ready, fire spitting and awesome sounding version of the Ferrari LaFerrari road cars. And yes, it is pretty awesome!

But nobody should mistaken the Ferrari FXX of the previous generation with this one! Ferrari has dubbed this brand new model the Ferrari FXX-K and packed even more power into this vehicle. The FXX-K produces a total of 1050 cv of which 860 are delivered by the V12 ICE and 190 cv by the electric motor, with a maximum torque of over 900 Nm. The V12 engine has been tuned for track use as well as the HY-KERS system. The FXX K has an extremely effective downforce generation and the result is a downforce of 540 kg at 200 km/h / 124 mph. Not a bad way to go around a track.

Now, this car develops some of the most exciting engine sounds we’ve seen so far and it definitely reminds us of what the Formula 1 cars should sound. Please take a look at the video below and turn your volume up ’cause you surely don’t wanna miss this. Enjoy!
