The BMW X5 xDrive 40e is BMW’s first plug-in hybrid version of the much-famed X5 model family. The rumbling SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) is one of the favorite choices for modern families and businessmen, where now, the vehicle is finally offered with an economical hybrid powertrain.
It’s powered by a combination of a petrol engine and electric motors, ultimately delivering impressive performance and a low fuel bill as well. The EfficientDynamics eDrive technology combines a four-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology together with a synchronous electric motor, ultimately delivering 313 horsepower and 332lb-ft of torque. With a 0-62mph (0-100km/h) time of just 6.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph (250km/h), the eco-friendly monster certainly is no slouch.
In turn, this makes it a perfect candidate for an aftermarket project.
This particular BMW X5 xDrive 40e is modified by Wheels Boutique. The Miami-based tuner gave the vehicle a set of HRE S204 forged concave wheels. For this build, the wheels are sized 22×10.5 in the front and 22×12 in the rear. Thanks to a Brushed Aluminum finish, they work well with the Alpine White exterior finish of this vehicle.
